William Jeanes Memorial Library: On Tuesday, May 7, during the Community Partner Appreciation Breakfast held at the Central Montgomery County Technical High School, William Jeanes Memorial Library was recognized as a Community Partner with the Colonial School District for hosting students from the life skills class at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School for over ten years. Operations and Public Relations Manager Deborah Moore and teen librarian Sara Huff were in attendance and delighted to receive the plaque on behalf of the library.

An average of two high school-age students volunteer each year. The students come to the library once a month to assist with various duties including book facing and general housekeeping. One of the recent participants said by working at the library, she realized that one day she would like to work as a library assistant. Another past participant has maintained his relationship with the library after graduation, attending programs and visiting regularly.

This year the students end their work at the library for the 2018-19 school year on Friday, May 17. The library is always pleased to meet the students in the fall and work with them throughout the school year.
