Theft … Two hubcaps were taken from a vehicle parked at a residence on the 300 block of Walker Road overnight May 24, police said.
Arrest on warrant … Baldwin Centeno, 24, of Camden, N.J., was arrested on a warrant from the Philadelphia Police Department following a traffic stop at 9:10 p.m. May 26, police said. Centeno was transported to the station and later turned over to the Philadelphia Police Department warrant division, police said.
Theft … An antique wagon wheel, valued at $500, was taken from the front yard of a residence on the 200 block of Mattison Avenue overnight May 27, police said.
In the May 26 issue of the Ambler Gazette, a listing regarding a two-car accident in which Joan M. Alio, 82, of the 600 block of Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, was injured, police mistakenly reported the way the accident occurred. It should have read: Michael P. Rasmussen, 19, of the 1900 block of Audubon Drive, Dresher, was northbound on Bethlehem, when he made a U-turn into Alio’s path and struck her southbound vehicle. Following the impact Rasmussen’s vehicle struck a fence and path lighting on a property in the 500 block of Bethlehem, according to police.
Two injured… A 16-year-old girl of the 400 block of Haws Lane, Flourtown, was hurt and Olivia G. Maray, 19, of the 200 block of Arlingham Road, Flourtown, was slightly injured May 23 in a two-vehicle accident at Pennsylvania Avenue and Twining Road, police said. Maray was westbound on Pennsylvania at 7:06 p.m. when the teen, who was eastbound, attempted to turn left onto Twining and struck Maray’s vehicle, police said. The teen, who was cited for a left-turn violation, was transported by Springfield Ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital, police said.
Disorderly conduct … Two female students at Upper Dublin High School were cited for disorderly conduct May 23 following a fight involving four girls in the cafeteria around 7 a.m., police said.
Alcohol possession … A 17-year-old male of Purdie Lane was cited for underage possession of alcohol after he was observed staggering along Lenape Drive at 1 a.m. May 29, police said. The youth fled on foot from officers into a wooded area before he was detained, police said.
Theft … A resident of the 600 block of Dreshertown Road, Dresher, reported May 24 that between Feb. 11 and May 7 several items of jewelry were taken from the residence, police said. The victim said a number of contractors had access to the home during that time frame, police said.
DUI … Donald D. Morris, 31, of the 7600 block of Rugby Street, Philadelphia, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 12:21 a.m. April 28 at Commerce and New Jersey drives, police said. Morris, who was pulled over after going straight through a right-turn only lane, showed signs of intoxication and was transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital, where a blood test showed a 0.182 percent BAC, police said.
DUI … Andre M. Lozada, 30, of Bridgeport, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license following an investigation March 26, police said. Lozada was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was running and was stopped in the middle lane northbound on Dreshertown Road near Welsh Road at 5:38 p.m., police said. Lozada showed signs of intoxication and was taken to Holy Redeemer Hospital for a blood test, police said, and charges were filed May 23 in district court.
Criminal mischief … Three sheds were broken into overnight May 21 at the Sunny Willow Swim Club on School Lane, Willow Grove, police said. Several items were thrown into the pool including two small student chairs from outside the Thomas Fitzwater Elementary School, police said. A chain link fence was cut to gain entry to the swim club, police said.
Shot fired … A bullet was shot at Short Supply Inc. in the 700 block of Twining Road, Dresher, around 12:03 p.m. May 24, police said. The shot was reportedly fired from woods behind the building and a hole that appeared to be a bullet was found on a window in the rear of the building, with the first pane of a double-pane window cracked, police said. A jacket from an unknown caliber bullet was found on the bottom portion of the screen, but the round itself was not found, police said.
Burglary … Jewelry and a computer, valued at a total of $1,550, were taken during a burglary at a home in the unit block of Lindenwold Terrace, Ambler, May 22, police said. The owner returned home at 12:21 a.m. to find the front door unlocked and a gold bracelet, costume jewelry, an engagement ring with diamonds and a G-Pad computer missing, police said.
DUI … Robert Lyons, 47, of the 100 block of Woodside Circle, Dresher, will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop at 2:18 a.m. May 22 at Fitzwatertown Road and Limekiln Pike, police said. Lyons was pulled over after he was observed turning right on red onto Limekiln Pike, which is posted no turn on red, police said. He showed signs of intoxication and was taken to the police station for a chemical breath test, which recorded a 0.188 percent BAC, police said.
ID theft … A Gwynedd couple reported May 26 their bank card had been fraudulently used, police said. The card was used to make 13 purchases totaling more than $1,100 in Columbus, Ohio, between 9:13 p.m. May 25 and 4:04 a.m. May 26, police said.
Vandalism … A mailbox at a residence on the 1300 block of McHugh Court, Spring House, was vandalized overnight May 27, police said. The bracket holding the mailbox to its post was ripped off, and both the mailbox and the post were on the ground, police said. The cost to replace them is approximately $400, police said.
False ID … Karen L. Hall, 38, of the 1900 block of Sandy Hill Road, Plymouth Meeting, was cited for disorderly conduct for providing false identification to police and driving with a suspended license following a traffic stop at 9:46 p.m. May 23 on Skippack Pike, police said. Hall, who was pulled over for having a front headlight and rear running lights not working, initially gave the officer a false name and date of birth, police said.
Drug possession … Nicholas M. Chaban, 20, of Redlands, Calif., was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a vehicle search around 1:15 a.m. May 24 on Carriage Lane, police said. An officer observed Chaban’s vehicle pull up on Carriage and due to a number of vehicle break-ins in the township decided to investigate, police said. The officer noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and a search netted 5 ounces of a substance that field tested positive for marijuana and a grinder, police said.
Thefts … Items were taken from a number of vehicles entered last week, police said. A Garmin GPS, valued at $125, was taken overnight May 23 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 1400 block of Guiteras Drive, Blue Bell, police said.
A Garmin Nuvi GPS, valued at $199, and a TomTom GPS, valued at $150, were taken from two vehicles parked unlocked in the 1400 block of Balboa Bend, Blue Bell, overnight May 22, police said. About $150 cash was noticed missing May 24 from another unlocked vehicle parked in the same block, police said.
Two pair of sunglasses, a ladies black Ray Ban valued at $150 and a ladies black with pink stripe Ralph Lauren valued at $95, along with a vehicle ashtray with about $3 in change were taken from a vehicle parked in the garage at 10 Sentry Parkway between 8:05 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. May 23, police said. The driver’s side window had not been completely closed, police said.
Disorderly conduct … Keyshawn Watson, 19, of the 200 block of West Maple Avenue, Ambler, was cited for disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license and driving with an expired registration following a traffic stop at 8:30 p.m. May 24 on Leslie Lane, police said. An officer observed Watson’s vehicle on Walton Road with a heavy tint on the front windows, the expired inspection and registration and the left rear running light out and followed to Leslie, pulling Watson over, police said. The officer noted an odor of marijuana in the vehicle and a search revealed a small bag of a substance that field tested positive for marijuana on the passenger side floor, police said.
DUI pending … Charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against Patty Berman, 60, of the 100 block of Doral Drive, Blue Bell, following a traffic stop at 11:13 p.m. May 24 in the 600 block of Morris Road, police said. An officer observed Berman’s vehicle swerving on the road and drift into the oncoming lane several times and pulled her over, police said. Berman showed signs of intoxication, failed field tests and was transported to Mercy Suburban Hospital for a blood test, and charges are pending the results, police said.
Burglary … The Sushi Kazoo restaurant, 920 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, was burglarized overnight May 25, police said. An employee arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 a.m. May 26 to find the front glass door smashed out, police said. An unknown amount of money was taken from the cash register, which was found open, with the cash box empty on the floor, police said.
Thefts … A Garmin Nuvi GPS valued at $250, and an iPhone power adaptor, valued at $20, were taken from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Wick Lane overnight May 25, police said. A TomTom GPS valued at $270, an iPhone charger valued at $50 and change were taken from a vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Meadow Drive overnight May 25, police said. The rear hatch door may have been left unlocked, police said.
Theft … An estimated $10,000 worth of power tools and equipment were taken from a construction trailer outside the Whitpain Tavern, 1529 DeKalb Pike, overnight May 25, police said. The latches on a padlock were cut for gain entry and a large assortment of tools were taken, police said.
DUI … Donna L. Hanbidge, 68, of Onanzock, Va., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she was pulled over at 10:35 a.m. May 27 at Skippack Pike and Crestline Drive, police said. Hanbidge was observed driving erratically and when stopped showed signs of intoxication and failed field tests, police said. She refused a blood test, triggering an automatic DUI and was arrested, charged and arraigned before District Judge John Murray and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said.
Retail theft … Lisa M. Lantonio, 35, of the 2800 block of Highview Drive, Norristown, was cited for retail theft after attempting to take $162.27 worth of goods from the Giant Food Store, 1760 DeKalb Pike, around 11 a.m. May 27, police said.
Underage drinking … Five 19-year-olds were cited for purchase, consumption or transportation of liquor or malt beverages May 28 after police were called to the Deck Motel, 602 DeKalb Pike, at 12:47 a.m. for a disturbance, police said. The teens were found drinking beer outside a motel room and two cases of beer were found inside, police said. Cited were: Lisa N. Costello of the 100 block of Marco Road, Elkins park; Genevieve A. Kittredge of the 300 block of Edge Hill Road, Glenside; Tyler Kennedy of the 2100 block of Rush Road, Abington; Melissa A. Meehan of the 900 block of Cricket Avenue, Glenside; and Ryan D. Arant of the 1500 block of Ferndale Avenue, Abington, police said. Arant was also cited for disorderly conduct for possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.
Charges pending … Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness are pending against Thomas M. Kerrick, 21, of the 500 block of Prospect Avenue, Bridgeport, after he was found lying in the road at Mara Drive and Ritter Road at 1:50 a.m. May 28, police said. Kerrick, who had smoked a jar of suspected “wet” marijuana was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital for a drug overdose and the charges are pending lab results, police said.
Disorderly conduct … Brian R. Corliss, 19, of the 1100 block of Sheppard Drive, Blue Bell; and Drew T. Petko, 20, of the 900 block of Greenbriar Drive, Blue Bell, were cited for disorderly conduct after an officer approached their parked vehicle in the lot of Korman Suites, 1560 Wick Lane, Blue Bell, at 3:25 a.m. May 28, police said. The officer noted an odor of marijuana in the vehicle and two bags of suspected marijuana and a glass smoking pipe were located in the vehicle, police said.
Retail theft … Jane Fusco, 71, of the 2300 block of Coles Boulevard, Norristown, was cited for retail theft after attempting to take $25 worth of goods from the Giant Food Store, 1760 DeKalb Pike, around 11:45 a.m. May 28, police said.
DUI … Laura E. Alexy, 42, of the 100 block of Evelyn Drive, Norristown, will be charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, restriction on alcoholic beverage and driving with an expired registration following a traffic stop at 5:53 p.m. May 29, police said. An officer responding to a call of a reckless driver at Skippack and DeKalb pikes found the vehicle at the U.S. Gas Station, police said. Alexy, the operator of the vehicle, showed signs of intoxication and open cans of beer were observed in her vehicle, police said. Alexy refused submitting to a chemical test, triggering an automatic DUI, police said. A passenger in her vehicle, Francis J. Panfile, 47, of the 400 block of Hamilton Street, Norristown, also showed signs of intoxication and he was cited for public drunkenness, police said.
