SPRINGFIELD — Workers inside an Acme were able to safely leave the store after the roof collapsed due to heavy rains early Thursday morning, June 20, according to a report from WFMZ.

The collapse "broke sprinkler system pipes, causing water to go everywhere," WFMZ states.

The grocery store, which is located in the 1600 block of Bethlehem Pike, remained closed June 20, according to WFMZ.
