The woman shown is here is suspected in connection to a bank robbery in Flourtown.

SPRINGFIELD — A woman robbed the Citizen’s Bank, 1620 Bethlehem Pike, May 30, according to Springfield police.

The robber, described as a black female in her late 30s to early 50s, with a medium to heavy build, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing black Muslim garb, a hat and large-frame glasses, entered the bank at 2:09 p.m. and presented a demand note to a teller implying she had a firearm, though none was displayed, police said.

After receiving some cash, she was seen running northbound in the parking lot at Flourtown Plaza and entering a silver Hyundai, which went north on Bethlehem Pike, police said.

The FBI is handling similar robberies in the city, police said.
