LETTER: Thanks to sponsors of 9/11 Heroes Run in Harleysville

To the Editor:

Officer Dan Covolesky, Lower Salford Township Police Dept. and Race Coordinator, and the Travis Manion Foundation, would like to thank all our sponsors, supporters, runners, vendors and volunteers who made our first annual 9/11 Heroes Run a tremendous success. Hoping for 300 registered runners, we were overwhelmingly surprised with the final total of 535.

Due to the wonderful outpouring of support, our event raised $10,000 for the Travis Manion Foundation and we were able to help set up the initial stages of the Ian Dietrich Memorial Scholarship Fund, for whom the race was dedicated. Again, thank you to everyone who participated and helped pay tribute to all our American Heroes. We look forward to next year’s Second Annual 9/11 Heroes Run.
