The Securities and Exchange Commission’s Philadelphia Regional Office will host an educational event for senior investors on June 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Montgomery County Community College.
Representatives from the SEC, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities, and Temple University's Institute on Protective Services will discuss various investment products, the effects that changes in thought and memory can have on decision-making, and ways that seniors can protect themselves from financial fraud.
The program will take place in College Hall 144/148/151 on the Montgomery County Community College campus at 340 DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
This senior outreach event is free to the public and lunch will be provided to all participants. Register by email or phone to attend the event: SECSeniorOutreach@sec.gov or 215-597-0200 and provide name, phone number, and lunch choice (see flyer for menu details).
