wreath winner

Gary Hague and his wife Janet of Hague’s Christmas Trees, Hatfield, display the National Grand Champion blue ribbon wreath.

Gary Hague of Hague’s Christmas Trees, Hatfield, received the National Grand Champion blue ribbon for his decorated wreath at the 2019 National Christmas Tree Association contest in Lackawanna County in August, and will present two matching wreaths in the winning design to Pennsylvania’s First Lady, Frances Wolf.

They will be hung at the Governor’s Mansion in Harrisburg. Hague qualified to enter by winning first place in this year’s Pennsylvania Farm Show. The prize-winning wreath was made of Nordmann fir greens with white pine accent.

Hague and his wife Janet have been selling Christmas trees and wreaths in Hatfield at their family business on Forty Foot Road since 1984, and Hague has received awards at the state and national levels over the past twenty years.

Hague’s Christmas Trees at 755 Forty Foot Road, Hatfield, will sell replicas of the Grand Champion winning wreath this season.
