PLYMOUTH — There’s a new sheriff in town, and his eyes are fixated on you.

He wants residents and business owners to come see him if there is a concern or question or to make a comment that affects their safety in Plymouth Township. “I am here for you. You’re the boss. You tell me what needs to be accomplished,” stated John Myrsiades, the recently appointed Chief of Police of Plymouth Township.

Fresh out of the gate of his appointment, Myrsiades went to work by setting up two town hall meetings. “ I wanted to hear what was on the people’s minds. See how we are doing, what are we doing wrong, and what needs to be improved upon,” explained Myrsiades. He especially wants Plymouth Township to be “safe and friendly. I have a vested interest in making the township succeed since I have been a township resident 24 years.”

More than 50 people attended the town hall meetings. “People asked really good questions. If I did not know the answer right off the bat, I said I would look into it and get back with you soon,” said Myrsiades. Shortly after the town hall meetings were completed, some of the people who were in attendance, reached out to Myrsiades .“They inquired about having small meetings,h of which would address a specific concern,” explained Myrsiades.

He is proud to announce that the specific concern meetings will be debuting next month.
