MANAYUNK — Celebrate the fall season with family and friends at the second annual Manayunk Harvest Fest Saturday, Sept. 29, from noon to 6 p.m.

The day will include live music, food vendors, seasonal activities and all things fall in Pretzel Park and all along Main Street.

“After much success of our inaugural event in 2017, we have decided to ramp up the live music aspect of the event,” said Jane Lipton, executive director of the Manayunk Development Corp. “Live music is such a huge part of what makes Manayunk thrive, and we’re excited to be bringing a music event back to the community.”

Pretzel Park will host a stage from noon to 6 p.m. where top Philadelphia acts will perform. Festivalgoers will be entertained by Ben Arnold & Band, Kuf Knotz, and Stella Ruze, among others. Main Street will host two stage areas as well, with live music at the intersection of Main and Cotton streets, as well as Canal View Park (4416 Main St.). In addition, Manayunk’s restaurants will host live music during dinner hours.

The Pretzel Park Farmers Market will take place as usual, with fresh produce, baked goods and other seasonal vendors starting at 10 a.m. Food vendors, such as Mama’s Meatballs, DonutNV and Jammin’ Crepes, will line Silverwood Street above Pretzel Park, as well as the stage area on Cotton Street. In addition, official festival sponsors, Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co., Dark Horse Wine and Yard Bar, will serve beer and wine to thirsty music lovers.

Families are invited to take in some fun as well, with face painting taking place in the Pretzel Park, as well as caricatures and live professional pumpkin carving at Canal View Park. Retailers on Main Street will open their shops for seasonal shopping all day, and there will be a Scarecrow Stroll outside of 20-plus businesses for guests to vote on.

“Not only are we excited to be bringing a music event back to the district, but we are happy to have a family friendly event for those who live here,” Lipton said. “We really look forward to hosting everyone during this wonderful time of year for our second Harvest Fest.”
