Upper Dublin Baseball’s 10U travel team won the township’s first-ever Cal Ripken Pennsylvania Southeast State Championship July 9. After going 5-0 in the District 4 Tournament hosted by Montgomery Township June 21-24, the team defeated Nor-Gwyn 5-2 in the championship game. Upper Dublin then moved on to the Pennsylvania Southeast State Championship Tournament, held July 5-10 in East Brandywine Township. The Cardinals once again went undefeated in the tournament, finally besting Hilltop 5-4 in extra innings to secure the township’s first-ever Cal Ripken state title. As state champions, Upper Dublin earned a trip to compete in the Cal Ripken 10U Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament in North Tonawanda, New York outside of Buffalo.
