Montgomery County organization donates to Leah's Dream

UPPER MERION — The Beta Pi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International recently held its annual covered dish supper where the Montgomery County-based group presented a check for $500 to guest speaker Sandee Mandel, founder and executive director of Leah’s Dream.

Mandell spoke of her daughter Leah’s work in Africa with an non-government organization and how, after Leah’s death at age 29, she continued to fulfill her daughter’s mission of helping girls in remote villages of Ghana be able to attend school. Leah’s Dream sponsors education and community development for young women in Northern Ghana through financial and mentoring support.
