RETAIL THEFT — Walter Holland, 55, of the 6800 block of Emlen Street, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft and driving with a suspended license, after taking $334.65 worth of goods at 8:09 a.m. June 29 from the Giant market, 1874 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown, police said. Holland, who fled, was stopped at Bethlehem Pike and Montgomery Avenue and positively identified by a store employee, police said.

THEFTS — A number of unlocked vehicles on Gordon Road and Whitemarsh Avenue were gone through early morning June 25, police said. Four were on the unit block of Gordon Road and two in the 100 block, where one had currency, sunglasses and a laptop taken, police said. Two of the others had currency taken and three had nothing missing, police said. Of three entered on Whitemarsh, two had currency taken, police said.

ROBBERY — Philadelphia residents Jabir Brown, 20, of the unit block of W. Sharpnack Street; Koran Pepe, 18, of the 200 block of East Hortter Street; and a 17-year-old, were apprehended by Springfield officers after they allegedly robbed another man, police said. Officers responded to a call at 12:44 a.m. June 26 of the victim yelling and banging on doors in the unit block of Gordon Road and 700 block of Bethlehem Pike, police said. The victim reported driving an acquaintance to a party, when he agreed to pick up two other males he didn’t know, and in the 9400 block of Meadowbrook Lane, Philadelphia, the three tried to rob him, police said. The victim fled his vehicle and the three began chasing him, police said. One suspect, who was taken into custody on Stenton Avenue by Overlea Way, had a number of business cards, credit cards and a small amount of marijuana in his possession, police said. An officer on foot patrol at 1:10 a.m. spotted the other two suspects and took them into custody, and all three were identified by the victim and turned over to Philadelphia police, police said.

WARRANT — Stephen Sokorai, 38, of the 8800 block of Duveen Drive, Wyndmoor, was taken into custody on a Philadelphia warrant for contempt of court on a PFA violation when an officer on patrol spotted Sokorai and another person at the quarry at Sandy Run Park, 1901 Walnut Ave., at 3:09 a.m. June 27, police said. He was turned over to a Philadelphia police officer.

DEFIANT TRESPASS — Michael Ferro, 40, of Lansdowne, Delaware County, will be charged with defiant trespass, after officers were called to Joseph’s Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, at 8:27 a.m. June 26, police said. Ferro, a former employee at the villa, had twice earlier been told not to return to the property, police said.

ASSAULT — Victoria M. McDowell, 28, of Ambler, was charged June 30 with aggravated assault of a child, endangering the welfare of children, and simple assault, online court records show. She was arraigned and released on $20,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 16.

ASSAULT — Michael T. Croke, 48, of Willow Grove, was charged June 25 with simple assault and harassment, according to online court records. He was arraigned and released on $5,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 11.
