NORRISTOWN — The time has come to start prepping your taste buds for that famous fried chicken.
Royal Farms is tentatively set to open at Logan Commerce Center in Norristown on Oct. 8.
That date could change due to COVID-19 concerns or construction delays, the company noted.
The Maryland-based gas station-convenience store Royal Farms chain was founded in 1959 and now operates more than 20 stores in Pennsylvania, including Colmar, Downingtown, Harleysville, Aston and Lancaster.
It’s been in the works for Norristown for more than a decade, weathering many challenges, including, most recently, the coronavirus, which brought construction to a halt the last few months.
“This is an important milestone for the Logan Commerce Center,” said Logan Commerce Center manager Joseph J. Anania, Jr. “Having Royal Farms in this critically important corner of the municipality has been the culmination of many years of planning and redevelopment efforts. All of those in the office, retail and services businesses that come to work here each day could not be happier for the arrival of Royal Farms next door. Starting in the fall, the next time you renew your driver’s license, plan on stopping by Royal Farms.”
