Cub Scouts learn history of coins

CHESTNUT HILL — Sixteen Cub Scouts from Chestnut Hill Cub Scout Pack 1855 recently toured the TruMark Financial Credit Union branch in Chestnut Hill and learned about the history of coins.

TruMark Financial representatives discussed the metals used in the manufacturing of coins, reviewed the locations of the United States mint facilities and identified the people depicted on coins. The group and their parents also learned the difference between a credit union and a bank.

Each Scout received a piggy bank and a coloring book on the importance of saving as a souvenir of their visit.
